Project Management

We, in Cinmar Plus Building Materials, insist to achieve the goals of our projects in all project constraints:

– The Scope Constraint

– The Time Constraint

– The Cost Constraint

– The Quality Constraint

Our project management success is measured by our project team’s ability to manage the project, so that the expected results are produced while managing quality, time and cost.

The discipline of our project management is about providing the tools and techniques that enable the project team to organize their work to meet these constraints.

N

The Scope Constraint

The Scope Constraint defines the requirements specified to achieve the end result The Scope Constraint is the overall definition of what the project is supposed to accomplish, and a specific description of what the end result should be or accomplish A major component of Scope is the quality of the final product The amount of time put into individual tasks determines the overall quality of the project Some tasks may require a given amount of time to complete adequately, but given more time could be completed exceptionally Over the course of a project, quality can have a significant impact on time and cost (or vice versa).

N

The Time Constraint

We identify tasks needed to produce the deliverables documented in a Work Breakdown Structure ( The work effort for each task is estimated and those estimates are rolled up into the final deliverable estimate The tasks are also prioritized, dependencies between tasks are identified, and this information is documented in a project schedule The dependencies between the tasks can affect the length of the overall project (dependency constrained), as can the availability of resources (resource constrained) Our Project Time Management processes include:

  • Planning Schedule Management
  • Defining Activities
  • Sequencing Activities
  • Estimating Activity Resources
  • Estimating Activity Durations
  • Developing Schedule and
  • Controlling Schedule.
N

The Cost Constraint

Planning Schedule Management; Defining Activities; Sequencing Activities; Estimating Activity Resources; Estimating Activity Durations; Developing Schedule and Controlling Schedule.

Cost Estimating – In Cost Estimating, we develop an approximation of the cost of all resources needed to complete activities.

Cost Budgeting – In Cost Budgeting, we aggregate the estimated costs of resources, work packages and activities to establish a cost baseline.

Cost Control – In Cost Control, we influence and control the factors that create cost fluctuation and variance.

N

The Quality Constraint

Our quantitative perspective of Quality is to meet or exceed the requirements and expectations in service or product that were committed to Our qualitative perspective of Quality is the pursuit of optimal solutions contributing to confirmed successes, fulfilling accountabilities.

Quality Management – We direct our organization so that it optimizes its performance through analysis and improvement.

Quality Control – We control our processes and products to ensure that the outcomes are predictable.

Quality Assurance – We use our Quality Assurance procedures to obtain confidence that our products and services are satisfactory.
